The Accord 2.0 VTi-L, a new version of the 8th generation Honda Accord, has been added to the line-up. The Accord 2.0 VTi-L is fitted with the same engine as the standard Accord 2.0 which uses a 2.0-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine which produces 115 kW/156 bhp and 189 Nm of torque.
According to a statement from Honda Malaysia, this new version offers value-added features such as a plush leather interior, cruise control, 8-way driver seat adjustment, leather-upholstered seats with power lumbar support, armrests for extra comfort, a leather-wrapped shift knob, leather door lining, and door mirrors with side turn signals integrated in the housing.
Besides the 5 body colour choices already available for the Accord range, there will also be a new colour offered - Taffeta White. The addition of white is timely as it appears that this colour is increasing in popularity.
The new According 2.0 VTi-L is expected to account for 40% of total Accord sales this year, which would mean around 200 units a month. It is priced at RM149,800 (on the road, inclusive of insurance).
